MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) - Real Man Race was held in Minsk downtown on 23 February and included 1km and 3km runs, BelTA has learned.
Vladislav Vasilev from the town of Shumilino clocked 2:57 to win the 1km run. Silver went to Dmitry Vusik from Minsk and bronze to Alexander Timokhovsky from Minsk
Chairman of the Belarusian Athletics Federation Vadim Devyatovsky also took part in the race. “I am happy with my result. The race was fast. Running shirtless is a challenge. Every year more and more people seek to take up this challenge. Sport is now trendy, and this is great,” he said.
Alexander Sanko from Minsk clocked 9:19 minutes to cross the finish line first in the 3km race. Second was Andrei Starichenko from the village of Suikovo, Vitebsk District. Bronze went to Dmitry Bogan from Nesvizh.
All the runners got participation medals from the organizers.
Taking part in the Real Man Race were about 3,000 runners from 13 countries.
