Belarusian rescuers and firefighters paraded along Nezavisimosti Avenue of the Belarusian capital on 23 July ahead of Fire Service Day. Partaking in the celebrations were representatives of all regional emergency response agencies.
Belarusian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Vashchenko laid a wreath at the Victory Monument.
Standard bearers from the Institute for Command Engineers of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry opened the parade followed by firefighters brass bands. The parade demonstrated firefighting vehicles and equipment of different years, from 1938 till 2016.
The celebrations continued in the Gorky Park with a performance by guards of honor. Other events included a show by water lifeguards and a performance by a firefighting helicopter.
