Minsk, 9 June (BelTA) – Postavy played host to the international folk music festival “Singing Cymbals and Accordion”on 7-9 June. The official opening event “Happy Birthday, Hometown” took place in the town on 8 June.
The 30th edition of the festival brought together companies and individual performers from seven countries: Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, and Georgia. The festival was themed around the 610th anniversary of Postavy and the 75th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from Nazi invaders.
The festival was organized by the Belarusian Culture Ministry, the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, and the Postavy District Executive Committee.
