Gorodok crafts and folklore center revives straw weaving technology

MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) - The status of intangible historical and cultural value of Belarus has recently been granted to the traditional technology of spiral weaving with straw of Vitebsk Oblast. The leader of the straw-weaving hobby group, a member of the Union of Artisans Vasily Simankovich is reviving this technology to pass it on to young people in the Gorodok crafts and folklore center.
