Ways to streamline operation of Eurasian Economic Commission discussed in Moscow

MOSCOW, 18 February (BelTA) – Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich of Belarus and Alexei Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, discussed ways to improve the work of the commission on 17 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the commission.

“The parties discussed the work on strategic guidelines to promote Eurasian economic integration for the period till 2025, including the remaining disagreements. Mikhail Myasnikovich underlined that due to active involvement of members of the EEC Board, the work on the document picked up steam. He expressed hope that the document will be approved by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in May 2020,” the press service noted.

“Mikhail Myasnikovich and Alexei Overchuk harmonized preliminary approaches to streamlining the operation of the Eurasian Economic Commission. They emphasized the need for practical efforts to improve the national economies and the well-being of people,” the press service noted.
