MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lyashenko is set to meet with Russian Vice Premier Dmitry Kozak in Moscow on 23 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
“Vice Premier Igor Lyashenko is in Moscow to meet with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Kozak,” representatives of the government said.
On 24 May, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas is expected to meet his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow. The parties plan to discuss the situation with the polluted Russian oil among other things.
BelTA reported earlier that on 19 April Belneftekhim registered a massive decrease in the quality of the Russian oil mixture Urals flowing in transit into the main oil pipeline section operated by OAO Gomeltransneft Druzhba. The concentration of organic chloride in oil exceeded standard thresholds dozens of times over. Both Belarusian oil refineries: Mozyr Oil Refinery and OAO Naftan were forced to reduce their workload and experienced financial losses. Naftan is operating at 65% of its capacity.
