MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Despite the difficulties, all industrial enterprises in operated in their usual mode in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.
Piotr Parkhomchik noted that the past year was fraught with uncertainty. “Despite all the difficulties, the manufacturing industry performed quite well. First of all, I would like to mention the Industry Ministry, the timber processing industry, and the food industry that demonstrated good performance. The agricultural sector also did well. Last year saw an unprecedented harvest,” the deputy prime minister said.
In 2022 the government had to micromanage measures to respond to challenges coming from unfriendly countries, Piotr Parkhomchik added. “Those were all kinds of issues: logistics, supply of component parts, price fluctuations. The government had to come up with measures to help enterprises maintain consistently positive performance. I want to emphasize that despite a very challenging situation, all enterprises of the country kept working steadily last year. They did not only produce and sell the required amount of equipment, but also carried out their social programs,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
