Uzbekistan to look into Belarus' experience in road construction, maintenance

MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Uzbekistan will study Belarus' experience in the area of transport, the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry press service told BelTA.

Representatives of the Transport Ministry of Uzbekistan visited the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry on 8 June. The Belarusian experience in the area of road construction and maintenance was discussed during the meeting. In particular, the sides looked into the organization of road toll collection, the operation of the Transport Inspection and interaction with it, digital technologies in transport and customs control.

The increasing of the frequency of flights between Minsk and Tashkent were discussed. At present regular flights are available four times a week, with two flights organized for each side.

Apart from that, Uzbek specialists will get familiar with technical solutions meant to develop self-service channels at the Minsk-Passazhirsky railway station, with the operation of the Minsk city mass transit company Minsktrans, in particular, with the automated systems the company uses for vehicle navigation, data transfer, fare payment and fare payment verification. The specialists also intend to get a closer look at digital administration systems used by RUP Beldorsvyaz and the digital road toll collection system BelToll in the state institution Belavtostrada.

The sides agreed to continue working together in the areas of interest mentioned during the meeting.
