According to Alexandra Solovieva, the lab will be set up at premises of the UNDP office in Belarus soon and will help accelerate social and economic development and contribute to the emergence of new growth points. It will try to find solutions to specific innovation tasks.

Alexandra Solovieva said that the UNDP set up 60 labs of the kinds two years ago thanks to support of donors in a number of countries. Belarus was not one of them back then. We are now conducting a dialogue and intend to start working.”

The lab will develop promising ideas, which will be part of the foundation of future UNDP projects with the Belarusian government, donors and partners of the program, will allow raising additional resources and scaling these local solutions. Solutions tried and tested by other labs and global practices will also be used.
