MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Belarusian industrial goods and foodstuffs have a good export potential, Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization Valentin Tataritsky told journalists at the ceremony to award winners of the Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus 2022 competition, BelTA has learned.
“Today's event shows that even in such a difficult period, when our market is under sanctions and the supply of a number of goods is discontinued, we still find ways and opportunities to implement new technologies. Our manufacturers are capable of replacing missing goods. This also pertains to the services sector, heavy engineering, etc. Thus, consumers are not affected, because we have really responsible and forward-looking manufacturers,” said Valentin Tataritsky.
According to him, the quality of Belarusian products is quite high, and this is an important factor contributing to their competitive ability. “Our products, both industrial goods and foodstuffs, have a good export potential. We should give credit for that to labor collectives of organizations and enterprises. It is important to continue promoting Belarusian products, making them even better and more competitive in order to keep the domestic economy sustainable,” the chief of the State Committee for Standardization concluded.
