Talks on Belarus-Russia integration roadmap underway in Moscow

MOSCOW, 18 October (BelTA) – Belarus First Deputy Premier Aleksandr Turchin is meeting with Russia's Vice-Premier Maksim Akimov in Moscow on 18 October. The parties are discussing draft roadmaps to implement the Union State integration program, BelTA has learned.

At the beginning of the meeting Maksim Akimov noted that the discussion is taking place in the run-up to the 20th anniversary of the Belarus-Russia Union State. “Today we are to discuss the roadmaps we are responsible for,” he said. The vice-premier added that these roadmaps deal with the establishment of a uniform product marking and traceability system, transport control and the common market of communication and informatization.

Maksim Akimov recalled the task to complete the synchronization of the roadmaps by 1 December, so that the integration program and all the related roadmaps could be signed by the heads of state by 8 December.

“I do not see any unresolvable issues, but certain matters should still be discussed,” Aleksandr Turchin said. He added that Belarus would like to study Moscow's digital healthcare system.

Aleksandr Turchin is set to visit a situation center of the Moscow Healthcare Department, a public services center, a traffic management center and the Ostankino television center.
