MOZYR, 23 April (BelTA) – Substandard oil has reached the territory of the European Union, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim Vladimir Sizov at a science and technology conference in Mozyr.

The official said: “Judging by the samples collected at the Belarusian-Polish border, one can say that poor-quality oil has reached the territory of the European Union. The same kind of oil can now be found in the territory of Ukraine.”

The lab of the Belarusian oil pipeline system operating company OAO Gomeltransneft Druzhba is working round the clock. The specialists say the quality of incoming oil has not improved yet.
