MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Providing assistance with export and improving technical regulations for the sake of protecting Belarus' national interests on international markets should become key tasks of the State Standardization Committee in 2019. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Lyashenko made the relevant statement at the session of the board of the State Standardization Committee on 20 February, BelTA has learned.
Igor Lyashenko said: “Export growth is the key task. It is necessary to increase deliveries to distant-arc countries, too. This is why I would like to ask those this work depends on to help and guide it.”
The deputy prime minister noted he expects the State Standardization Committee to come up with new approaches to protecting Belarus' national interests as Belarusian companies work on foreign markets. All the more so because examples of unfair competition and artificial barriers on foreign markets have been registered, he noted.
Close attention should be paid to the application of international standards, the deputy prime minister noted.More about Economy
