MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian customs service spends at little as five minutes on processing about 78% of the export shipments, representatives of the State Customs Committee told BelTA.
In line with the strategy on developing the customs service the figure is supposed to be reached in late 2019, however, the target was hit in May. The number of shipments processed within five minutes has increased by 11% in comparison with the same period of last year.
The Belarusian customs service processed a total of over 47 million tonnes of merchandise transported across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union in January-May 2019.
The Belarusian customs service works to optimize customs processes, enable favorable conditions for international economic cooperation, enhance the transit appeal and the investment climate of the country, BelTA has been told.
