Solid foundation for Belarus, China to achieve high results

MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) - Belarus and China have a solid foundation for achieving high results of cooperation, Head of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone Aleksandr Yaroshenko said as he opened the Belarusian-Chinese forum “Innovative Development of Smart Manufacturing”, BelTA has learned.

Belarus and China have made a historic step in the development of diplomatic ties. “Last year, our states established relations of all-weather and all-round strategic partnershipю A joint declaration was signed on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand. This is a relationship of deep respect and trust that will let us expand interaction in all the areas. The dynamics of political contacts, trade and economic ties and cultural exchange between our countries have always been high. Now we have created a solid foundation for even greater growth and achievement of high results,” Aleksandr Yaroshenko said.

In March, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid a state visit to China. “During the meeting, the heads of state stressed the common desire to steadily develop relations and build up practical cooperation,” the head of the administration said.

The China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone is a vivid example of such successful practical cooperation, Aleksandr Yaroshenko added. “It plays an important role as a nodal platform of the Belt and Road initiative. This year is an anniversary year for this global megaproject. The year 2023 marks 10 years since the initiative was announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping and marked a new era in economic relations between states. Over these years, Belt and Road has united more than a hundred countries across the planet. Belarus was one of the first countries to join the initiative,” he concluded.
