YEREVAN, 22 October (BelTA – Armenpress) - During the Eurasian Week forum we will discuss the development strategy for the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan said at the opening of the event.
Tigran Sargsyan emphasized the importance of choosing a model of cooperation in the EAEU. “We will discuss the EAEU development strategy, the model of cooperation that we have implemented, and also the international agenda, institutional changes and the vision of the future. The EAEU has been developing. In certain sectors the time has come for a common unified policy. Otherwise, we will be facing criticism regarding the work of the common markets,” he said.
According to Tigran Sargsyan, the forum seeks to develop relations between business and authorities. “The general focus of the forum is on cooperation and review of projects in various sectors of the economy. We want to enter the international market with the Eurasian brands that will be recognizable, advanced, innovative. Over the next three days we will discuss initiatives such as the development of the Eurasian jewelry brand, standards and platforms of the construction industry, digital traceability of cargoes and goods, digital transport corridors, smart city technologies and many more,” he said.
The Eurasian Week is an annual event held by the EAEU member sates and the Eurasian Economic Commission. Its initiative was confirmed in May 2015 by the premiers of the EAEU five member states. The event comprises business and exhibition parts to promote B2B and B2G contacts.
