Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast shows interest in more BelAZ imports

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast is interested in increasing the supplies of BelAZ equipment, Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor Yevgeny Kuivashev said at the meeting with Belarus' Ambassador to France, head of Belarus' delegation to the Bureau of International Expositions Pavel Latushko, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in France.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The head of the Russian region presented Yekaterinburg as a candidacy to host World Expo 2025.

Pavel Latushko and Yevgeny Kuivashev hailed the active development of trade and economic cooperation between the enterprises of Belarus and Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia. The governor mentioned the interest of the Sverdlovsk Oblast enterprises in increasing BelAZ supplies for the needs of the regions' mining industry.

Pavel Latushko and Yevgeny Kuivashev also stressed the importance of installing monuments to outstanding composer, singer and founder of Pesnyary music band Vladimir Mulyavin in Yekaterinburg and Minsk. Vladimir Mulyavin made an invaluable contribution to strengthening intercultural ties between the two peoples, preserving and developing the musical heritage of Belarus.
