MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast is interested in buying vehicles made by MAZ, the press service of the Belarusian automobile engineering company MAZ told BelTA.
A Sverdlovsk Oblast delegation led by the region's deputy governor Azat Salikhov visited MAZ. The guests were made familiar with the operation of the main assembly line and with the latest passenger vehicles, trucks, and special vehicles made by MAZ.
Azat Salikhov noted: “I specifically took photos of the technical parameters of a road tractor and a semi-trailer. Our region has a very great deal of ore as well as crushed stone plants. When the passage of vehicles in excess of vehicle axle mass limits is restricted in autumn and spring, we still need to transport cargoes. The vehicles you've demonstrated may suit our needs in this period.”
Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) is one of Belarus' largest mechanical engineering companies. It specializes in making heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and trailing units. MAZ vehicles are compliant with the environmental standards Euro-3, 4, 5, and 6. The company makes a total of over 500 models and 3,000 modifications of tractor units, dropside trucks, and chassis for mounting various kinds of equipment.
