MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) - Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) and the Republic of Kalmykia are interested in intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation. The prospects were discussed by Mikhail Kadnikov, the marketing director of MTZ, and Batu Khasikov, the head of the Russian region, who visited the enterprise on 20 March, BelTA has learned.

The most important part of Kalmykia's economy is the agro-industrial complex. In 2022 the republic obtained the biggest harvest of crops for the last 15 years. The region's fleet consists of 3,500 tractors, of which about 70% are BELARUS tractors.

“We can offer the Republic of Kalmykia the whole lineup of machinery and equipment for the agro-industrial complex. This will help us increase production in the future and will be an important part of the cooperation as part of today's visit,” Mikhail Kadnikov said.

Minsk Tractor Works is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines not only in the CIS states but the entire world. MTZ offers over 100 tractor models in more than 200 modifications for all climatic and operational conditions.
