Russia's import restrictions on five Belarusian companies repealed

MOSCOW, 12 October (BelTA) – Rosselkhoznadzor, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia, lifted the ban on the import of products of five Belarusian enterprises on 12 October, BelTA learned from the federal service website.

Rosselkhoznadzor lifted the restrictions from four Belarusian dairy enterprises and one meat-processing plant, including Molochny Gostinets, Molochny Mir (whole-milk products), Detskoselsky Gorodok (pasteurized milk), Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 (drinking milk), and Stolbtsovsky Meat Cannery (beef).

Rosselkhoznadzor made the decision following the negotiations with Ivan Smilgin, Belarus' Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision where Belarus provided the necessary documents and guarantees to Rosselkhoznadzor.
