Russia to additionally transfer over $400m to Belarus as oil export duty

MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Russia will additionally transfer RUB27 billion (over $400 million) to Belarus as export duties due to rising oil prices, the news agency PRIME quoted Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov as saying.

According to the source, due to rising oil prices Russia's commitment to transfer oil export duties to Belarus has increased. The additional sum will be added to this year's Russian budget.

Every year Belarus gets 18 million tonnes of Russian oil for refining. Belarus also re-exports another 6 million tonnes of Russian oil and keeps the oil export duties.
