Belarus PM to attend Eastern Partnership investment summit in London

MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Rumas is off to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on a two-day visit, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian head of government is scheduled to meet with Prince Michael of Kent, a member of the British Royal Family, and President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti, to hold talks with CAD CAM Automotive and to sign an agreement to set up a facility to assemble Belarusian e-buses in Great Britain.

On 22 November Sergei Rumas will take part in the first investment summit of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the countries participating in the Eastern Partnership. On the same day, the Belarusian PM is scheduled to meet with top executives of the EBRD and the European Investment Bank. Documents will be signed to promote cooperation between Belarus and the European banks.

When in London Sergei Rumas is set to hold talks with Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and Ukraine Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
