Retail trade up 1.8% in Belarus in 2020

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – In 2020, the retail trade totaled Br53.1 billion, up 1.8% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.

Wholesale trade equaled Br99 billion, or 95.8% as against 2019.

One-day retail trade volume per capita came at Br15.4, while in 2019 it amounted to Br14.4.

Retail trade outlets accounted for 91.7% of retail trade. In 2020, they reported Br48.7 billion in retail trade volume, or 103.3% as against the previous year in comparable prices.

In 2020, the trade turnover of the public catering industry totaled Br2.5 billion, or 80% as against 2019 in comparable prices.
