MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – The amount of remittances to Belarus from abroad went down by 12.75% in 2018 over 2017 a year earlier,reads the statistical report of Belarus National Bank, BelTA has learned.
In 2018 the citizens received $326.04 million in remittances from abroad through international money transfer systems. In 2017 the figure stood at $373.67 million.
Meanwhile, $175.014 million was sent from Belarus abroad last year (vs $164.568 million in 2017, an increase of 6.3%).
The average amount of a money transfer to Belarus was $287.67, abroad - $364.2.
Money transfers were carried out through international money transfer systems such as Western Union, Unistream, Golden Crown, MoneyGram, BLIZKO, Leader, Contact, Colibri, Faster, and Ria Money Transfer.
