Regions of Belarus, Ukraine sign agreements on multilateral cooperation

ZHITOMIR, 4 October (BelTA) – Belarusian and Ukrainian regions signed agreements on multilateral cooperation at the presence of the two heads of state at the 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine on 4 October, BelTA has learned.

The documents signed include a plan of ministerial consultations for 2020-2021, an executive program of sci-tech cooperation for 2019-2021 between the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Brest Oblast concluded agreements on trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation with Volyn Oblast and Zakarpatye Oblast. Vitebsk Oblast signed similar agreements with Vinnitsa Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast and Odessa Oblast.

Gomel Oblast will develop cooperation in trade, economic, sci-tech, humanitarian and cultural areas with Zhitomir Oblast. The Grodno Oblast Executive Committee will expand cooperation with the Volyn Oblast State Administration.

Cooperation agreements with Nikolaev Oblast were signed by Minsk City Hall. Mogilev Oblast concluded agreements on cooperation with Dnepropetrovsk Oblast and Kharkov Oblast.
