Private companies generate 53.3% of budget revenues in 2021

MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Privately owned businesses generated 53.3% of budget revenues in 2021, up one percentage point than in 2020, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Tax and Duties Ministry.

All in all, Br33.488 billion was transferred into the country's consolidated budget in 2021, or 1.5% above the annual budget revenue plan (Br496.9 million extra was received). This includes revenues to the central budget (Br13.736 billion, 1.2% or Br161.2 million above the plan), to local budgets (Br19.752 billion, 1.7% or Br335.7 million above the plan). The revenues of the consolidated budget grew by 9.4% in comparable prices over 2020. The revenues of the central budget increased by 14.9%, those of local budges rose by 5.8%.

All major revenue sources demonstrated good dynamics. Profit tax transfers grew the most - by 62.5% or almost Br2 billion, income tax rose by 4.5% or Br341 million, and value added tax inched up by 3.3% or Br290 million .

In 2021, small and medium-sized businesses transferred Br11.709 billion, up by 7.4% in comparable prices, their share in budget revenues was 35%.
