Prime ministers of Belarus, Russia discuss oil deliveries to Belarusian refineries

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas has talked to Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev over the phone to discuss the situation concerning oil deliveries to Belarusian oil refineries, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

During the phone conversation Sergei Rumas and Dmitry Medvedev discussed the situation with oil deliveries to Belarusian oil refineries as well as other matters of integration interaction.

The prime ministers wished Happy New Year and Merry Christmas to each other.

BelTA reported earlier that on 1 January Russia stopped delivering oil to Belarus. Belarusian oil refineries – Mozyr Oil Refinery and OAO Naftan –reduced their workload to the minimum the technology allows. Belneftekhim is ready to satisfy the domestic demand for automobile fuel in full. The export of oil products was temporarily suspended. On 4 January the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim said an agreement had been reached with the Russian Federation on acquiring the first batch of oil at a price without a premium.
