MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – Due to technical problems Poland has asked Belarus to suspend oil transportation via the Mozyr-Brest trunk line, BelTA learned from Aleksandr Tishchenko, Press Secretary of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim.
Due to technical problems in Poland the Polish side represented by PAO Transneft's office in Poland has requested a suspension of oil transportation via the Mozyr-Brest trunk line, Aleksandr Tishchenko said.
In his words, OAO Gomeltransneft Druzhba (the company in charge of operating the Belarusian section of the Druzhba pipeline system) is taking every measure to ensure the planned volume of transit oil transportation.
At present oil that comes from the Russian Federation is being accumulated in oil tank farms of the line operation dispatcher station Mozyr.
The Mozyr-Brest trunk line is part of the Druzhba oil pipeline system and is used for transit of Russian oil to Poland and then to other European countries.
