PM: Solutions have been found to all issues on Belarus-Russia agenda

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) - Solutions to all issues on the Belarusian-Russian agenda have been found, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he commented on the talks of the presidents of Belarus and Russia in Minsk on 19 December, BelTA has learned.

“No areas have been left unaddressed after the talks of the presidents. I do not have the feeling that the presidents have not agreed on anything or that the government does not know how to implement this or that agreement. This distinguishes yesterday's meeting from the ones held three or five years ago,” said Roman Golovchenko.

According to him, the amount of work for next year is clear. “We are not going to slow down. This year we will have a record-high trade. We are to reach the trade of about $50 billion with the Russian Federation. We will greatly improve the foreign trade balance,” the prime minister said.

Speaking of the instructions following yesterday's meeting, Roman Golovchenko said that the parties should work on about ten specific areas. “We have heard a position of absolute solidarity on all issues from the presidents. There are some economic nuances. In particular, the Russian Federation provides financial support to help Belarus restructure its debt to the Russian financial institutions. We have also touched upon this issue. It was well received by our Russian counterparts. In these conditions, there is an opportunity to support the Belarusian economy. We have to make up the final amount,” the head of government said.
