MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) - The Belarusian exposition at the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg will focus on the machine tool industry, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Governor of Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast Yevgeny Kuyvashev on 28 April, BelTA has learned.

According to the prime minister, Belarus and Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia share not only the heroic military past but also very promising present and future. In particular, Belarus is actively getting ready for the Innoprom exhibition which is due to take place in Yekaterinburg on 10-13 July.
“This year we will take part in the exhibition as a partner country. The organizing committee is currently busy dealing with issues related to preparing the exposition and the agenda. The area of the Belarusian exposition will make up about 3,000 square meters. We have some 120 Belarusian enterprises that have applied for participation. I am sure there will be more of them,” the prime minister said.
According to him, given the developed industrial, mining, manufacturing and machine-building sectors of Sverdlovsk Oblast, the Belarusian exposition at Innoprom will highlight the machine tool industry.

“It is experiencing a certain heyday today. Following the Belarusian president's instructions, we have not curtailed our machine tool building capacities and have continued development. There was a lack of market, of course, but we supported machine tool builders with domestic orders. Today they are at a very good international level, with the demand in the current environment being big. We are preparing a separate exposition devoted to machine tool building. I am sure that the modern machining centers will find their clients,” the Belarusian head of government said.
About 50 countries will take part in Innoprom. The entire Belarusian industry will be on display at the event.
