“Today's agenda was extensive, the dialogue was very lively,” said Roman Golovchenko. “Each region has its own specifics. Karelia is a land of forests. Accordingly, there are many niches to develop here. This concerns the supply of logging equipment and vehicles for transporting wood, as well as reforestation efforts and forest management. Cooperation in this field is gaining momentum; Belarusian enterprises are running projects here to create special greenhouses for growing forest crops. However, our friends and partners from Karelia want to see a bigger presence of Belarus here,” the prime minister said.

According to him, the parties agreed to draft a separate cooperation subprogram in the field of forestry. “The potential here is huge. Complementarity and mutual interest are important,” the prime minister emphasized.
