MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – A residential house of 90 apartments will be commissioned in the town of Lyuban by the end of the year. It will house personnel of the Nezhinsky mining and processing factory, the press service of IOOO Slavkaliy told BelTA after the latest meeting of the mining and processing factory construction staff with Slavkaliy Chairman of the Board Mikhail Gutseriyev.
The German shaft sinking contractor Deilmann-Haniel is working at the construction site. The company's report mentioned some intermediate results of subsurface work. Contact grouting is in progress. As much as 32% of the required amount of work has been done in the cage shaft. The progress rate in the skip shaft stands at 25%.
The construction of surface facilities proceeds on schedule as well. The construction of front faces began at a number of facilities after their structural frames were ready. It is now possible to guess how the facilities under construction will look once they are finished. According to Mikhail Gutseriyev, the external look of the facilities should live up to state-of-the-art trends. “Industrial facilities should look like cultural ones,” he said.
A number of facilities are being prepared for commissioning. A residential house of 90 apartments for personnel of the future mining and processing factory will be commissioned by the end of the year. The construction of the overhead power line Kaliynaya-Nezhinskaya is nearing completion.
The Nezhinsky mining and processing factory based on the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit will be the second enterprise in Belarus to mine potash salts and make potash fertilizers. It will be able to make up to 2 million tonnes of potassium chloride per annum. The investment project provides for building one mining facility in addition to a processing plant, a gas turbine power plant for proprietary needs, railway infrastructure, automobile roads, housing infrastructure, and other kinds. IOOO Slavkaliy is in charge of implementing the project. The company is part of Mikhail Gutseriyev's Safmar Group. The construction of the Nezhinsky mining and processing factory began in 2017.
