Plans to assemble Belarusian buses, utility vehicles in Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast

MOSCOW, 25 January (BelTA) – Plans are in place to set up a joint venture to assemble Belarusian buses and utility vehicles in Chelyabinsk Oblast of Russia. The project was presented during a working visit of a Belarusian delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko to Chelyabinsk Oblast, BelTA has learned from the press service of the embassy.

The Belarusian delegation met with Governor of Chelyabinsk Oblast Boris Dubrovsky. The parties discussed projects to set up joint ventures and ways to boost cooperation in public utilities sector, construction, transport, and others.

“In the town of Miass, the delegation visited Uralpromtehnika plant, took a look at the technologies and products,” the press service noted. “Vladimir Semashko met with Miass Mayor Grigory Tonkikh and top executives of the plant to present the project to set up a joint venture (Minsk Automobile Plant – Uralpromtehnika) to assemble buses and utility vehicles in Chelyabinsk Oblast,” the press service added.
