Petrishenko to represent Belarus at session of Eurasian Economic Commission Council

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – Belarus will be represented by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko during the next session of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission today, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

There are over 30 items on the agenda. They focus on foreign trade policy, financial policy, industrial policy, and integration policy, customs, tariff and technical regulations, economy digitization.

Among other things members of the Council will discuss the matters the heads of state are supposed to discuss in December 2019. Members of the Council will also approve the agenda of the next session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. Apart from that, the execution of regulatory acts of the Eurasian Economic Union will be discussed. The most important ones include the development of approaches to implementing initiatives and projects in compliance with the digital agenda, the application of special regimes (“regulatory sandboxes”) in the Eurasian Economic Union, the development of the document to determine strategic avenues of development of Eurasian economic integration for the period till 2025, progress in the removal of barriers on the domestic market of the Eurasian Economic Union, the implementation of plans to liberalize individual sectors of services within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Eurasian Economic Union's industrialization roadmap, and other things.
