Output of agricultural products in Belarus up by 3.6% in 2022

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – The output of agricultural products by agricultural producers of all types (agricultural companies, private farms and individuals) in 2022 amounted to Br31.8 billion, up by 3.6% in comparable prices over 2021, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

Agricultural companies made products worth Br25.6 billion, up by 2.9% in comparable prices over the previous year.

Farms of all types produced 1.734 million tonnes of livestock and poultry in live weight, 7.8 million tonnes of milk and 3.4 billion eggs. Agricultural companies account for 96.7% of livestock and poultry production in live weight, 97.4% of milk production and 85.2% of output of eggs.

The leaders in agricultural production are Minsk Oblast (26.4%) and Brest Oblast (22.2%). They are followed by Grodno Oblast (17.7%), Gomel Oblast (12%), Vitebsk Oblast (11.2%) and Mogilev Oblast (10.4%).
