Non-CIS export of Belarusian automaker BelAZ 30% up in January-April

MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – In January-April 2019 the Belarusian automobile engineering company OAO BelAZ increased shipments to non-CIS states by 30% in comparison with the same period of last year, BelTA has learned.

In January-April 2019 the company exported 96% of the vehicles and spare parts it made. A batch of 220-tonne haul trucks delivered to Serbia was the largest shipment in the period.

BelAZ products were shipped to Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mongolia, Poland, the Philippines, Czechia, Chile, Estonia, and other countries. On the whole, BelAZ shipped its products to 23 countries across the globe in January-April 2019.

BelAZ's main partners are mining companies in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. The top selling products are 110-130 tonne haul trucks (28%), haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 220-240 tonnes (25%), and 45-tonne trucks (15%).

BelAZ representatives noted that the constant expansion of the partnership geography and the multiple-vector nature of the company's foreign trade work are high priorities for BelAZ.

Based in Zhodino, Minsk Oblast, the public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity. The company also makes other kinds of heavy transport vehicles for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
