Next session of Union State government scheduled for late 2018

MOSCOW, 13 June (BelTA) – The next session of the Union State Council of Ministers will be held at the end of 2018. Such an arrangement was made by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev as they signed final documents following the session of the Union State Council of Ministers on 13 June, BelTA has learned.

Andrei Kobyakov suggested holding the next session at the end of November or beginning of December. Speaking about the venue, he promised that Belarus will choose a place where the Russian partners have never been before.

As a result of today's talks the premiers passed 14 documents, including statements reviewing Belarus-Russia trade and economic cooperation in 2017, balance forecasts for demand and supply of critical products, indicative energy balances for 2018, changes in the order of development and implementation of the Union State programs. They also adopted a document on instituting a Union State prize in science and technology, a resolution on the formation of the common transportation space and the common science and technology space, and other documents.

“I hope that the decisions made today will benefit integration in the Union State,” Dmitry Medvedev noted.
