MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – The free economic zone (FEZ) Minsk has registered its 10th new resident this year. The company OAO Dorstroyindustria intends to implement an investment project on modernizing production of concrete and reinforced concrete products and structures, BelTA learned from the FEZ Minsk administration.
The company will produce high-quality goods primarily for the road industry as well as for industrial and civil facilities of melioration and public utilities services, timber industry, agriculture, and railway construction.
OAO Dorstroyindustria will also make road equipment and its spare parts, attachments, and road barriers for repair and maintenance of highways in Belarus and abroad.
Established in 1998, the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Minsk has become a leading industrial hub and has raised over $2 billion in investments. The zone occupies about 2,800ha. It includes 23 land plots in Minsk and Minsk Oblast. FEZ Minsk is home to about 120 resident companies. The FEZ Minsk companies specialize in mechanical engineering and metalworking, chemical and petrochemical industries, woodworking, and civil engineering. FEZ Minsk has seen investors from 20 countries. The resident companies export products to 67 countries across the globe.
