Need to develop Belarus-EU economic cooperation noted in Minsk

MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) - The need to further develop Belarus- EU trade, economic and investment cooperation was discussed during a meeting between Belarus' Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Yaroshevich and a delegation of MEPs led by Vice Chairman of the European Parliament Delegation for Relations with Belarus Valdemar Tomasevski, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

“The parties welcomed the positive dynamics in the relations between Belarus and the European Union and noted the need to continue building a constructive bilateral dialogue,” the press service said.

The government's measures to improve the competitiveness of the Belarusian economy, to create favorable conditions for business and investment in Belarus were considered during the meeting. Promising areas of investment cooperation were also reviewed.
