SHCHUCHIN, 17 March (BelTA) – Most of Belarus' regions approach the realization of the One District – One Project program responsibly. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the statement during a trip to Shchuchin District, BelTA has learned.
Asked about progress of implementation of the One District – One Project program, Roman Golovchenko remarked: “The situation varies. In some places these processes proceed more actively. In some other places we have to give them a nudge from above. These things also happen. We don't hide them. But certainly, a majority of the districts approach this task responsibly.”
The prime minister stressed that it is no accident that a visit to OOO Logal-Bio is part of the itinerary of his trip to Shchuchin District. “It is a good example of the private initiative interlinking with the state policy. This is why this company's project for making the substrate for mushroom farming was selected for the [One District – One Project] program. As we promising, the funding is made available using assets of the Development Bank. The interest rate is comfortable – 8%. There is an agreement that the innovation fund of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee will provide some of the money and investors will come up with a certain amount on their own,” the head of government said.
Roman Golovchenko also mentioned a number of projects in the districts that border on Shchuchin District. “There is a garment enterprise in Mosty District. An enterprise to make non-woven materials in another neighboring district. This work goes rather actively in Grodno District,” the head of government said.
