More BelAZ trucks shipped to non-CIS states in H1 2020

MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – In H1 2020 the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ increased shipments to non-CIS states, the company's press service told BelTA.

According to the source, in H1 2020 BelAZ diversified export shipments by increasing the share of non-CIS states in the total volume of shipments to 39.9% (31.8 percentage points up from H1 2019). It is the highest figure on record in comparison with annual figures.

In January-June 2020 BelAZ shipped mostly haul trucks, bulldozers, and dust control sprinkler vehicles to India, Mongolia, Poland, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Another batch of BelAZ-78221 front loaders was shipped to Algeria in March where the state-owned company GICA Group will use them at the open pits Saoura and Zahana.

On the whole, in H1 2020 BelAZ products were shipped to 21 countries, including 14 non-CIS states. The company sold 10.5% of the products on the home market and exported 89.5%, including 37.4% to Russia and 12.2% to other CIS states (Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine).

The average carrying capacity of haul trucks sold so far this year stands at 100 tonnes. The top-selling haul trucks are those with the carrying capacity of 110-130 tonnes (42%), 45 tonnes (19%), and 55-60 tonnes (11%).

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for mining industry and civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world's largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
