NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
NOVOPOLOTSK, 11 June (BelTA) – The implementation of large-scale projects to modernize the oil refinery OAO Naftan is in the final stage, BelTA learned from the company's Director General Aleksandr Demidov on 11 June.
The executive said: “There are no trifle details in the process. Every hour and every day are very important.” He stressed that the customer and contractors deal with the issues that emerge in the course of construction of the necessary facilities.
The modernization of the refinery will allow increasing the oil conversion ratio up to 90%. The investment program envisages comprehensive development of the enterprise, the establishment of new manufacturing facilities, and the reconstruction of existing ones. Naftan has already reconstructed the crude oil distillation plant AT-8.
The executive added that the oil refinery continues implementing a program on alternative oil deliveries. U.S. oil of the Bakken variety was delivered on 11 June. It is the 12th tanker shipment of oil Belarus has acquired from alternative sources this year. The total amount of oil delivered by tankers has already exceeded 1 million tonnes.
