Minsk Oblast signs cooperation agreement with Russia's Orenburg Oblast

MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – Minsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Government of Orenburg Oblast signed an agreement on cooperation and development of ties on the sidelines of the 6th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in St. Petersburg, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk regional administration.

The document was signed by Minsk Oblast Governor Anatoly Isachenko and Acting Governor of Orenburg Oblast Denis Pasler.

The five-year agreement provides that the parties will seek trade and economic partnership, facilitate and strengthen cooperation in scientific, social and humanitarian affairs, assist international and foreign economic relations.

“I am sure that this agreement will help us intensify the exchange of best practices and deliver successful projects,” Anatoly Isachenko said.

On 17 July, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Minsk Oblast Council of Deputies and the Sverdlovsk Legislative Assembly. The agreement provides for strengthening the cooperation in law-making and parliamentary activities. Such interaction involves the exchange of texts of legal acts, their drafts, analytical, methodological and other materials, the development of direct contacts between MPs, standing committees and commissions, and conduct of joint conferences, seminars and meetings.

All in all, Minsk Oblast has concluded cooperation agreements with 40 regions of the Russian Federation. Over 100 agreements have been signed between districts and the city of Zhodino of Minsk Oblast and the administrative-territorial units of the Russian Federation.
