Minister: Russian regions are interested in Belarus' building materials, workers

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Russian regions are interested in Belarusian building materials, designers and construction workers, Belarus' Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich said during a training program for young specialists of Belarusian construction organizations “Healthy and safe working environment: The role of trade unions in the implementation of constitutional guarantees of labor rights”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Architecture and Construction Ministry of Belarus.

“This year the domestic construction complex is operating in the normal mode. The ministry has undertaken a number of measures to diversify sales markets for industrial products and building materials; it has held a series of negotiations with partners regarding the work of Belarusian specialists outside the country. As a result, we have collected a substantial number of proposals from various regions of Russia that are interested not only in our building materials, but also in our designers and construction workers of various specializations. We can say that despite the external negative impact the Belarusian construction industry is steadily moving forward towards ambitious goals,” Ruslan Parkhamovich said.

At one of the dialogue platforms, the minister and Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of the Construction Industry and Building Materials Production Gennady Lyapunov met with participants of the training program. The minister and the trade union leader answered questions of the youth activists. In particular, the young people were interested in housing construction, including the construction of rental housing, improvement of operational processes and the regulatory framework. Special attention was paid to the workload of construction enterprises and organizations, as well as the export of goods and services.

Ruslan Parkhamovich noted that the ministry is aware of the concerns of young people working in the industry and tries to address them in collaboration with the trade union of construction workers. Gennady Lyapunov noted that the Architecture and Construction Ministry had recently taken very important decisions concerning young specialists, their professional and personal growth.

“By participating in training programs and other industry events, you have the opportunity not only to learn something new and exchange best practices, but also to subsequently use this information in your work and social activities, share the information with your co-workers. Undoubtedly, active young people are a pillar of the country. I have attended many events of this kind and I know that there are purposeful and hardworking people in the industry,” the minister said.

In line with the training program, young specialists of construction organizations from all regions of Belarus took part in seminars and team-building events, worked on projects and met with representatives of government agencies and organizations.
