Minister: Belarus' industrial image will be shaped by high-tech products

MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – The new image of Belarus' manufacturing sector will be determined by high-tech production facilities and products, Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov said as he toured the InKata technology park, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

The minister discussed joint efforts of the state and business to promote startups, to provide consulting, engineering and financial support to them in Belarus, as well as a possibility of using InKata's business incubation model for technological startups across the regions of the country. The owner of InKata Oleg Kondrashov explained how the company's technological infrastructure can support high-tech startups and small innovative enterprises.

Aleksandr Chervyakov recalled that Intellectual Country is one of the priorities of the 2025 program approved at the 6th All-Belarus People's Congress. “The new image of Belarus' manufacturing sector will be determined by high-tech production facilities and products by the end of the current five-year period. Obviously, two components are needed to make this happen. First, a business idea. Second, an enabling environment that can help translate any idea into a startup, and a startup into an efficient enterprise. And this should be a seamless chain of company creation,” the minister said.

As the experience of InKata shows, the use of such tools is key to effective development of new business projects. “Together with business, we should create an environment in which an innovative idea could turn into a high-tech product in demand on the market,” Aleksandr Chervyakov explained.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop a technological infrastructure to support startups and small innovative businesses in Vileika and Orsha.
