
MOSCOW, 20 April (BelTA) – Manufacturing sector is the most attractive sphere for foreign investments in Belarus. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi made the statement during the business conference held in Moscow on 20 April to discuss investments in Belarus, high technologies, import substitution, and logistics, BelTA has learned.
Dmitry Krutoi stressed that investment activities in Belarus are of overriding importance. Investment tools are constantly getting better in order to be competitive on the world market of free capital.
The ambassador talked about results of raising foreign investments for the Belarusian economy. In 2022 the most attractive kinds of economic activities were manufacturing (43.2% of the total foreign investments), wholesale and retail trade, repair of automobiles (14.2%), financial activities and insurance (11.3%), and civil engineering (9.5%).
The business conference was organized with assistance of the Belarusian embassy in Russia. The partners include the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The conference targets those, who intend to implement investment projects in the sphere of import substitution and high technologies and who are also interested in Belarusian logistics infrastructure. Participants of the conference talked about matters of investment cooperation of the Belarusian private sector and the Russian one, possibilities for localizing investment projects, instruments for financing investment projects, construction of logistic and manufacturing facilities, and the establishment of logistic chains.
