MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) - Business has built new supply chains for goods, head of the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom concern Tatiana Lugina said on the air of the STV TV channel on 10 May, BelTA has learned.
Bellegprom's top executives met with representatives of private business in Minsk. "Business, in principle, has built supply chains for raw materials, chemicals, dyes. Russia is our key market. We are growing, and all regions of Russia are actively interacting with us. Earlier the main export channel was a wholesale supply link. Today the focus is on cooperation to set up joint ventures," Tatiana Lugina noted.
Minsk First Vice Mayor Nadezhda Lazarevich, in turn, noted good dynamics both in the volume of production and export of light industry products. "We assess the situation positively. We are holding a meeting to make things even better, to find the opportunities for additional growth," she stated.
The meeting discussed the main areas of development of the domestic light industry, lending opportunities and niches for business. It was noted that Russia remains the main partner for light industry companies. In addition, Belarus' export to other countries, for example, to Armenia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, has increased too.
