MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – Belarus' Meat Dairy Company and China's DRex Food Group Co., Ltd have reached an agreement to set up a joint venture to promote Belarusian-made food products in China, BelTA informs.
“A Belarus-China trading house will be registered in the Shanghai free trade zone. It will promote a wide range of Belarusian food products in China,” noted Aleksei Bogdanov, head of the main department for foreign economic affairs of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
Belarus-China cooperation in agriculture and food production was quite successful in 2017, he added. “Dairy products were the key driver. Our exports of dairy products to China skyrocketed ten times. We also entered China's beef market and we hope to start supplying beef to the country before the New Year,” the official said.
