International forwarders can address Belarus' Transport Inspection for permits for 2021

MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) - International forwarders can address the Transport Inspection for permits to transport freight to certain countries in 2021, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry.

Belarus exchanges permits for forwarders on a parity basis with other countries. The Transport and Communications Ministry's commission on distribution and issuance of permits and control over their use made a decision on distribution of permits for Q1 and H1 2021. As for Q1, bilateral and transit permissions of Poland will be distributed for international carriage of goods by road, as well as permits of Russia for transportation to/from third countries, except for transportation to/from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Poland, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic (3rd category).

Poland's permits for transportation of goods to/from third countries, permits of Kazakhstan for transportation to/from third countries, Russia's permits of the 1st and 2nd categories will be allocated for H1 2021.

Forwarders who need the above-mentioned permits should inform the Transport Inspection through its website from 29 October to 15 November inclusively. It is necessary to specify the required number of permits.

The commission decided that only trucks that meet environmental and technical requirements of Euro-5 and higher will be taken into account for the distribution of Russian permits of the 1st category for the first half of 2021.

In December 2020 the commission will decide on the procedure to issue bilateral and transit permits of Poland, Russian permits of the 3rd category from 1 January 2021, except for those distributed for Q1 2021.
