International B2B contact fair in Brest postponed

BREST, 16 March (BelTA) – The 5th edition of the international B2B contact fair “Brest” that was scheduled for April 2021 has been postponed indefinitely, BelTA learned from Sergei Telezhinsky, the head of foreign economic relations and investment department at the Brest Oblast Executive Committee.

“We are considering rescheduling the forum for the autumn, but we might have to move it to next year. This depends on the epidemiological situation. We are looking forward to welcoming foreign participants, but many countries still keep borders closed because of the pandemic,” Sergei Telezhinsky said.

Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation in the world and measures taken by some countries to curb the coronavirus spread, the international B2B contact fair “Brest” has been postponed for the second year in a row. The next edition of the event will focus on services export. The program of the forum includes the first international tourist forum BrestTourInvest.

Plans are in place to arrange another international event in Brest in April. According to Sergei Telezhinsky, preparations are underway for an online forum that will feature representatives of Liaoning, a province in Northeast China. Participants of the web-based event will discuss prospects for cooperation with Chinese partners in business, education, and other fields.
